Crystal spires gleam in luscious green gardens

Crystal spires gleam in luscious green gardens

The air is filled with fragrance rare

and all hearts beat as one.

I hold my head high as I sing the joy of creation

walking softly on the earth in blessing.

And then I enter the world….

Mostly I notice the cold

with people drawn in on themselves from the weather

Mostly I long for the sunlit crystal halls

Mostly I sigh as I move with aching slowness upon this ravaged place.

Softly, secretly, I carry my light

Softly walking the paths, lighting the way

Strongly, carefully, I seep into the hearts

of the lonely and those longing,

pulsing the glittering Presence, so close.

I give Grace, give heart, give song, oh my people,

Rise up!

I bring Myself softly to the world

turning each murmur to a hymn of Praise,

each gasp is given a true drink of water

freshly filled from my heart

All hearts now beat as One.

Beloved……

Beloved,

Beloved, I come before Thee.

All that is in my heart I lay on the altar of Your Love.

All the sadness, all the grief, all the regrets, all the missed opportunities or spoiled creations.

I know courage in this place. I know resilience and steadfastness. I know it in the abundance of Your Love.

And I call all people to know that Love, to know the fullness of Being, to welcome the power and assurance that comes in that fusion, moving through the act of creation.

Do you pray? Do you offer all your troubles onto the altar? Or plead for a better life with more opportunities? Or give deep thanks for all your friends and for their support? We all have our own secret ways of making our connection with the Source of All.

Perhaps you go for long walks over the hills and through the woods, smelling the damp leaves and the new green shoots as you walk. Perhaps you revel in the majesty of the blue mist of bluebells that arise in woodlands, undisturbed by human presence. In moments such as these—in the colours, textures and variety of the abundance of nature—my heart is filled to overflowing and I feel like singing! Isn’t this communion with the Creator?

It seems that in some way we need the stillness and the quiet, we need the experience of only me present in the here and now. How else can I touch You except through me?

Sometimes, in the company of the one you love and who partners you in your most intimate living, there is a real sense of oneness or being together. When you look in the eyes of this one and see yourself and know yourself in this oneness, the tears well up. This is the experience of the Creator!

Wrapped in the awe and wonder of a clear night sky is the sense of belonging—knowing yourself in the pattern of things—in a much larger design, being part of something unfolding here on this little planet. Then, perhaps, your prayers and thanks wing their way through the clear night air.

And if none of this is your experience, what then? Do not give up! Come humbly into your quiet centre and touch what you find there. Have courage and look directly at what is present. This is your life and your experience, it is not nothing, and it is not wrong!

In your fingers, turn over your myriad diverse creations, even the fear and hurt and pain. Is this also not wonderfully made? Can it too not be molded and changed as light filters through the curtains? Give yourself to the tender exploration and know that many others share these pains. Your courage to see them and offer them on a higher altar changes not only your experience but also that of all those connected to you. Your prayers then find hungry hearts to soothe.

We shall not cease from exploration
and the end of all our exploring
will be to arrive where we started
and know the place for the first time.

In the words of TS Eliot, we find the understanding and the felt sense of the glorious Creator in the quiet centre that has been there all the time. Glory is all around when we look!

Thoughts, while gazing into the night sky at Midnight, Dec 31st, 2016

How many people are aware of their Universal connection—their connection into a larger pattern of being, in which everything is connected?

How many look up into the night sky and, recognising the stars as friends, marvel at their place in this Universe?

It is through this greater design that our relationships and the bonds we form with others are known and our destiny together can be acknowledged.

It is through this pattern of connection that the seeds of creativity that we each carry can fit together, manifest in our lives and have meaning.

As the cycles unfold we are each in the right place to bring forth exactly what is needed in the present circumstance, and in doing so, we seed the future.

I am reminded of the reference in Genesis to the “elohim,” the plural noun for God. “Let us make man in our image….” As we pour forth the seeds of love, enthusiasm, support and agreement into any situation, we are creating our future.

This is our nature. We are creator-beings and we create no matter what. I guess the question is, what are we creating in each moment?

Connection to a larger picture gives gravity and reassurance to our efforts—it gives perspective to the little things that irritate, frustrate and work on us, negatively impacting our relationships. There is so much more that is important! How we will impact our environment, how we will influence our community, and what leadership we could provide for friends and organisations. This is the perspective that carries lasting influence.

Held in these friendship patterns and connections we may wonder why the bonds are so strong, despite the vagaries of our current lives. Why do I love you so much?

Surrendering to a larger design for these patterns allows me to simply focus on being me, releasing all my creativity into Now, understanding that everything has a meaning and purpose and I don’t have to understand it all!

Agape – Feelings in the night

Better still have you ever felt that deep longing and total surrender that only seems to occur in a dream? Knowing that this isContinue Reading

Rule Britannia

Rule Britannia

So much of what is held in Britain’s myths and legends invokes and evokes magic in some form. Even the word ‘Briton’ refers to original peoples long gone, ancient before the Angles and Saxons and Normans ever invaded this land mass. This claim of ancient-ness to being British is what may be driving theContinue Reading
